GOP defense bill bars Pentagon from enacting Biden’s climate orders

Unfortunately the Republican party has added a provision in the House’s fiscal defense policy for 2024 that will not allow the Pentagon to go along with President Biden’s seven climate change initiatives. Why is this such a big deal? It’s a big deal because the United State’s Defense Department is the world’s largest institution to consume fossil fuels.

As many people have experienced first hand, this summer has been the hottest on record. For some it may be an annoyance. For others who work outside, it has been brutal and physically taxing. One has to wonder if those who spent their time denying even the existence of “Climate Change”, how do they feel about the climate? Do they continue to think it has no real consequences for anyone, regardless of where they live or what jobs they may have?

July was record hot, in maybe one of the coolest summers of the rest of your life

Unfortunately this year’s July was the hottest month ever recorded since daily temperatures have been kept. It is hard to measure the impact of such hot temperatures. We do know that more people than ever have been affected. The question is: Have hotter temperatures convinced more people that Climate Change is real and a matter that affects us all? Or will it take more summers such as the one we now live in to convince enough people that something concrete has to be done. As the title of this article states, this “may be one of the coolest summers of the rest of your life”. Let that sink in.
