Unfortunately but understandably, many young people are stressed and often pessimistic about their futures when it comes to how well we are combating the dangers we face globally. So on the Climate Change Front: Good news is rare unless we see some alternative. Fortunately there as examples of people who can bring hope to a dire situation. Jules Verne was one of the first writers of Science Fiction. He predicted extraordinary voyages under the ocean, to the moon, and he also predicted time travel. Two out of three isn’t bad as they say. We don’t always count on science fiction writers to predict accurately. But our expectation of real scientists coming to accurate conclusions based on the scientific method, facts and data is much higher. Many people think of the issue of Climate Change to be relatively new. Why didn’t we see it coming?
